You're probably aware by now that the hypnotic state that is induced in a private hypnosis session is a deeply relaxing experience. But we need to go beyond that, because the ability to relax only under hypnosis in a clinical setting is not particularly useful on a daily basis is it? After all, stressful situations come up all the time: At home, at work, and even while you're on your way to work. So what can hypnosis do as far as making you a more relaxed person in ordinary life? The amazing benefits of hypnosis include the ability to reprogram your whole attitude and your way of approaching everyday situations. As you are in a relaxed state of hypnosis, I, your hypnotist, will teach you some simple ways to incorporate that relaxation into your waking life. Sometimes it's as simple as taking a deep breath and expelling your stress, your worries, and your negative thoughts as you exhale. More often than not, though, an effective way of dealing with stress is to establish, while under hypnosis, a means of triggering feelings of relaxation at will. That way, when you encounter stressful situations in your daily life, you will be able to trigger positive feelings of calmness, relaxation, and confidence instantly, and all anxiety will be erased.
While most people notice positive changes in the way they handle stress after just one hypnosis session, a vital component of a long-term stress reduction plan is self-hypnosis. I teach self-hypnosis as an integral part of all of my hypnosis programs. Self-hypnosis continually reinforces the initial hypnosis session that you had with the hypnotist, and ensures that the changes you make to your life through hypnosis become permanently incorporated into your way of thinking. These positive changes will become your new habits, if you will. Self-hypnosis is a relaxing experience in itself, and when performed regularly, will drastically reduce your overall stress level.
Another way to reinforce the original hypnosis session for relaxation is through listening to recordings, which act as "virtual hypnosis" sessions. I have created a stress reduction hypnosis recording for general use which is available on this web site, and I also create tailor-made recordings for my clients.
Learning to relax will help you to think more clearly, sleep better, be more productive, and it will make you a healthier person by lowering your blood pressure and boosting your immune system. Many common problems are rooted in stress, and you may find that once you've learned to control your stress, many of your other problems will have suddenly disappeared as well!
