Echoes of a Winter Brook
It is January, and in New England, the small streams and brooks have frozen over and are covered by over a foot of snow. But in the faster moving sections of this particular brook, the water has carved a "cave" through the snow and ice, and the water flowing in this cavity possesses a unique reverberant quality. There are very few sounds in the winter woods of the Northeast, but the sounds that remain are able to stand out remarkably against their silent surroundings. This sound is ideal for relaxation, meditation, and sleep. |
